CBT Training & Provisional LicenSe for Your Electric Moped

The Sparky Electric Moped falls under the category of mopeds, meaning you don’t need a full driving license to ride it. As long as you're 16 years or older, you can get started. However, in the UK, you will need to complete Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) and hold an AM category provisional license. After completing the CBT training, you must display L plates, and you won’t be allowed to carry passengers. Like any vehicle that travels on public roads, including those with a top speed of up to 28 mph (approximately 45 km/h), the Sparky requires DVLA registration.
